Kotto burst on the scene in his breakthrough role as the Bond villain Mr. Big in the movie Live and Let Die in ‘73. He followed that up with his awesome portrayal of real-life villain Idi Amin in the TV action flick, Raid on Entebbe in ‘77.  8)

On the small screen he was in fare such as Homicide: Life on the Street, Death Valley Days, The A-Team, and Hawaii Five-O. During his heyday, Kotto was a monster, showing up in movies and TV shows all over the place.  8)

And the actors are more or less dying in the same order. (Tom Skerritt depends on which cut you go by.) Going by the theatrical cut, Tom Skerritt was skipped when Ian Holm died, and Veronica Cartwright would be next. However, going by the 2003 "Director's" cut (which Ridley never officially endorsed), there's the cocoon scene, meaning Skerritt would be next.

Pretty strange coincidence, but that's all it is.  :o
