Subject: Menudo Takes Another Hit… Ray Reyes Gone at 51

Ray Reyes, reknowned as lead singer of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo in the early 1980s, has passed away at the age of 51, presumably due to a heart attack. :\'(

Ray sang lead on their hit “That’s What You Do” as well as “Quero Ser” back in ‘84. Come 1986 he underwent a growth spurt and was ejected from the band, as Menudo was strictly a boy theme and had no place for grown men.
Ray’s passing is the second recent hit to the boy band. Last fall, fellow popster Anthony Galindo (he was Venezuelan though, not Puerto Rican) passed away at the age of 41. :\'(

I do remember him from The early version of Menudo during the 1980's.
