President Obama has announced the death of his family's beloved dog, Bo, at the age of 12.

Bo was a Portuguese Water Dog and spent eight wonderful years at the White House. RIP.

Very sad. :\'( He was a great White House pet, that's for sure.
He was apparently born a month or so before his master (whose first and last initials, coincidentally, are B.O.) was first elected.

On our USA trip back in 2013, when visiting Washington DC and the White House, we saw Bo in the grounds, and I did take photos, but nowadays I cannot them here on line. But in the meantime, I will try and work out a way.

Looking at my photos, it appears to be a different black dog I saw.
