Notable songwriter Charles Edward Weiss, perhaps better known by his nickname Chuck E., has passed away at the age of 76 from cancer. :\'(

He became a household name in 1979 when Ricki Lee Jones recorded her smoooooth hit Chuck E.’s in Love. 8)
He is not related in any way to Chuck E. Cheese.
