This is super sad news. Caddyshack II is one of my favourite films ever and he was so funny i it. I also remember him from a late 80s sitcom called Chicken Soup that had one of the funniest promos ever ...

Jackie’s real name was Yacov Moshe Maza and he was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1928.
Little known piece of trivia… he was an ordained rabbi.

So then he anglicized it to Jackie Mason and the rest is history.
Little known piece of trivia… he was an ordained rabbi.
I actually had not realised that until seeing a news blurb in his obit this morning.

I only remember him from Chicken Soup but never watched the show, just saw the ads.
