1980s sensation keyboardist Fritz McIntyre, who made his bones as the original keyboardist of Simply Red, has passed away at the age of 62. :\'(

Fritz played with Red from 1985 through 1996, which were their heyday years. 8)

Simply Red has had huge personnel turnover, with dozens of musicians serving short stints. All of those who have Wikipedia pages are on our side of the grass, with the exception of the now-departed Fritz.
