Ralph Carmichael, legendary composer of both TV and big screen fare including the classic film The Blob (Starring Steve McQueen and Aneta Corsaut :-*) and unforgettable TV show My Mother The Car has passed away at the age of 94. :\'(

Back when I was a kid, The Blob was one of those flicks that you would ALWAYS tune in to see when it aired. 8). They just don’t make flicks like that anymore.
Side note… Dick Van Dyke’s brother Jerry Van Dyke turned down the title role in Gilligan’s Island for the lead role in MMTC. Shrewd career move. ;D
