Legendary deli restaurateur Peter Buck, who co-founded Subway, has passed away at the age of 90. :\'(

His empire started back in 1965 when Buch (who holds a a PhD in nuclear physics) loaned his son's friend (the late Fred DeLuca who had his last sub back in '15) a cool $1000 to open up a sub shop. The rest is history. 8)
