Hall of Fame songwriter Bobby Weinstein, famous for both his knack for writing hits as well as performing, has passed away at the age of 82. :\'(

Weinstein started out with his group The Legends back in the 50s, but then really made his mark writing hits for other artists. His classic tunes include Goin’ Out of My Head, first recorded by Little Anthony and the Imperials as well as The Lettermen, It’s Gonna Take a Miracle, done originally by The Royalettes but more successfully by Deneice Williams, and I’m On the Outside Looking In, also recorded by LAATI. 8)
Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Linda Ronstadt, and Ella Fitzgerald all, at one time or another, belted out Bobby’s classic R&B-genre hits. 8)
