Subject: Final Salute for Cynthia Plaster Caster

Written By: LyricBoy on 04/22/22 at 5:26 am

Legendary plaster sculptress Cynthia Plaster Caster (née Albritton) has passed away at the age of 74 after a long illness.

She rose to fame in the 1970s, making, uh, “still life plaster sculptures” of a certain body part of famous rock ‘n’ roll musicians of the male persuasion. She did a total of 78 documented male sculptures. Jimi Hendrix, Harvey Mandel, and Eric Burdon were amongst her muses. Oddly she never did any porn star sculptures.

In 2010 she ran for election as Mayor of the city of Chicago on the “Hard Party” ticket, but lost.

The Plaster Caster sisters were big in the 60s mainly, not just the 70s. I've seen a photo of their work with Hendrix. Quite a large "sculpture", shall we say. Why would they do porn stars? That wasn't their trip. They were groupies for rock stars. Porn stars were already showing you everything, it would have been redundant.

By the way, the 2002 movie "The Banger Sisters" starring Goldie hawn and Susan Sarandon was loosely, VERY loosely, based on the Plaster Caster Sisters, but it wasn't a very good movie at all.
