Legendary country & western singer and songwriter Hal Bynum has passed away at 87 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s and final stroke.  :\'(

Hal wrote Kenny Rogers’ 1977 smash hit, Lucille.  Over the years, all the big names recorded his songs, including Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, Bill Monroe, and Charley Pride, just to name a few.  8)
