Prolific R&B/Jazz songwriter Ken Williams has passed away that the age of 83.  :\'(

Back in 1972, he penned the smash hit Everybody Plays the Fool, crooned by The Main Ingredient and its lead singer, Cuba Gooding Sr..

Williams started out as a singer in a group he formed, named The Chuck A Lucks, but then went on to pen more than 500 hits over the years, including Let Me Prove My Love To You, also recorded by TMI.  8)
