Georgia Holt (born Jackie Jean Crouch), probably most famous for being the mother of legendary singer/actress Cher, has passed away at the age of 96. :\'(

Georgia gave birth to Cher as a teenager and her mother urged her to get an abortion. Georgia disagreed, and the rest is history. 8)
Georgia and daughter have one thing in common… a hankering for younger men. Divorced six times by the age of 50, Georgia finally settled down with Craig Spencer, who was 21 years younger than her. :o

Georgia Holt played bit parts on an episode each of "I Love Lucy" and "The Lucy Show". Both times as a model.

Cher's real name is Cherilyn Sarkisian.
Her name at one point was Cherilyn LaPiere. Georgia’s 4th husband Gilbert Hartmann LaPiere adopted Cher and her sister, and changed their last name. Gilbert bit it back in ‘12… :-\\
