Try Wal-Mart if you have one near.  I think I got it for $3.34 versus $4.15 at the local grocery store.  Still a little high for the size of the box, but we splurge sometimes.  :)

For better or worse, alot of my favorite ones aren't the best for you, LOL. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, etc.

I voted for Cheerios this time but I tend to swap around a lot.  We always have loads of different packets in the cupboard so I can change if I want.  My top favourite was the old style Special K.

When we were in Florida the kids had some cereal shaped like Cheerios but they were multi-coloured.  What cereal was that?

I usually go for the 'porridgey' slop that you do in a microwave...

If I can't be asked to operate the microwave, a bowl of muesli will do (which always looks like the bottom of a bird cage to me...!!)

My children liked them too.  We were a bit concerned about the E numbers that might be in the colouring so we didn't eat them every day.  We'd taken our own supply of Weetabix which is Elizabeth's favourite.

I don't usually eat cereal because milk bothers me (lactose intolerant), but sometimes I like naturally-sweetened granola just as a snack.  :)

Does anyone ever buy the cheap knockoff cereal?  I mean instead of a "BOX" of Rice Krispies, you buy a "BAG" of no-name brand Crisp Rice

Neither do I. In fact, my family never got any of 'em while I was growing up. They always got Cheerios, Corn Flakes, and Rice Krispies for the most part. Occasionally we'd get the "variety packs" (single-serving boxes of various cereals), but I would only eat said cereals on those occasions.

As for Cheerios, we would sometimes get the variant ones (Honey Nut, Apple Cinnamon, Multi Grain); of those, Multi Grain is the one we like the best. :)

Oh, and I often like to eat hot cereals...that is, oatmeal. I began eating that when I was in my teens.

I haven’t had this since the box looked like this. My great grandma used to eat it and I liked it too.  She died in 1983. I see plenty of newer boxes but not sure if it’s still made.
