I would have started a poll but I don't know all the pizza places in the states.

My favorite type of pizza is homemade ones with pepperoni, bacon, green peppers, onions and hot peppers. But if we were going to order it I would have to go with either Greco or Pizza Delight.

Out here in Ventura County there is a franchise called Toppers...they make really good pizza. :)

I love to go to Fargos Pizza here in Colorado Springs. As for frozen...Red Baron.

As a kid, it was definitely Berardi's in Staten Island NY..

Now, I'd have to say Sbarro's.. it can usually be found in the "food pavilions" at shopping malls.  It is the closest to NY style that I have found here in CA.

I prefer the locally owned businesses to chain stores anyday, so my favorite pizza place is Pizza House in Shippensburg.  My grandpa always gets pizza from there after the Halloween parade each year.

But my favorite chain pizza store would be Domino's...'cause Pizza Hut is disgusting, and I've never eaten anyone else's pizza.

That's funny, I've always loved Pizza Hut - I'd almost list that as my favorite "chain".

I don't know how many there are - may just be the Bay Area - but one of the best local ones is Straw Hat (they are expensive though!). Little Caesars is good too, especially for the breadsticks.

My favorite is a local place called, "Christopher's Pizza"....it's has very bubbly crusts...and they use nice fresh mushrooms.


I also like a local place called, "Jioio's".....they use a very sweet pie type crust....it's really unusual but good!

Down here in Georgia, I like Carmines, Mellow Mushroom, and Bobby G's.  In Chicago, Father and Sons, Leonas, Giordano's and Pizzaria Uno.

Where I live now, I would have to say Bella's is the best...however nothing compares to a place where I grew up, Denino's.   

Denino's has got the BEST pizza anywhere.  A garbage pie (no fish) and a pitcher of ice cold beer.  YUMMY!!!

In Nantucket, it's Fooods for here and there, Steamboat Pizza, Sophie T's, and Gazebo. Of those, Foods has the best.

In Phoenix, Dee's Pizza (fka Johnnie's back in the day) is the best thin-crust pizza I've ever had, hands down.  Johnnie's still there and if he knows ya he'll even let you write a check.  8)

For deep dish/thick crust/Chicago Style I dig Nello's in Scottsdale.  :)

I live in Chicagoland, so I have a bias towards Chicago-Style pizza.   ;)

My favorite has to be Lou Malnati's.  A well loved Chicago chain.  (So popular, you can even order it on the web!    :o )

Other favorites include Giordano's, another great Chicago chain.  Well-known Gino's East is also pretty darn tasty!   :D

I never cared for Papa John's cheese(too weird of a texture).

My personal favorite is Pizza Di Roma(originally called Luca Pizza).

Locally I like Rocky Mountain or Big Daddy's Pizza in Salt Lake, but there is a place in Elko called Pizza Barn that is to DIE for.  As for the big chains I'm a Little Caesars and Pizza Hut girl. 

Now I'm craving pizza...  :D

some of you may not have heard of it but my favorite is donatoes! i love it. it's mostly a northern chain. i lived in ohio for most of my early childhood, when i was 8 we moved to georgia. i had grown up in ohio having donatoes every week, and the month we mover to georgia, all of the donatoes there closed down  :\'( . i guess they just spread themselves too thin. luckily i'm back in ohio these days.

Here in Brooklyn, there are three FINE pizzerias: DiFara, Grimaldi's, and Totonno's.  All of them are famous, and all of them are terrific.

Growing up in Connecticut, there was a local pizzeria called J's, in Danbury, which was the best.  They've since moved to the next town over and are now known as Bethel Captain's Pizza.

As for chains, the only one I like is Uno's.

I am a total pizza SNOB -- I rarely do slices.  Has to be fresh out of the oven for me.

The one chain I really liked was Godfather's but they went the way of the doodoo.

Near our house, there's a pizza delivery establishment called Uptown Pizza, which makes a really good veggie pizza. (There is also the option of having it with sausage.)

The one chain I really liked was Godfather's but they went the way of the doodoo.

Just about any true Italian Pizza in Connecticut or New York. Not any of the big pre-fab  chains. A few(out of many) of my favorites -  The Brick Oven &, Famous Pizzeria, in Bridgeport,CT - Salerno's on Barnum Ave & Paradise Pizza on Main St. , Stratford -

Probably little Caeser's or Mazzio's. (I want to burn Domino's to the ground  8-P )

Papa John's. Thick and juicy. Even after you microwave a slice, it still taste as if you just ordered it. Microwaving most fast food usually more so ruin then reviving.

We have a Pizza Place called N.Y Pizza, love it. And a place called Ronzio, their pizza's are really good!
