Subject: Dollar Tree

What good things have you found at Dollar Tree?I know they run out of stuff and don't always put it in the same store, but discovering new things is great.I've found Stauffer's animal cookies--all kinds, the cinammon frosted regular and mini--which are great for small children because it's easy to control the amount. My 1 and a half year old niece eats them, and even gives it to our lhasa apso..I've also found Stauffer's chocolate cookies, like Oreos,Anderson bavarian style pretzels,Pennysticks sourdough pretzel n uggets,Cow-Tails candy,Boston Baked beans,DelValle fruit nectar,Pulparindo tamarind leather, some Mexican style almond cookies,Canadian maple cookies, and Reggie peanuts. What have you gotten there?

We don't have Dollar Tree around here, but we have similar ones called "Dollarama".  I get lots of good food items there.  They have cartons of Fairlee Orange Juice for a buck.  Around here, Fairlee orange juice is usually found in small bottles at local pizza places or Mary Brown's Chicken restaurants LOL.  It's nice to be able to get it in cartoons.  It doesn't taste as good as bigger brands like Beatrice or Tropicana, but for a buck ... i'll buy like 20 of them at a time

LOL whistledog! I wonder what a pork ****** is? If I saw those I would buy them just to laugh about it later.

As for dollar store food, or "Big Lots"/Pic N Save type places, I am afraid of that food. Why is it there? Why isn't it at the regular store? Why?!?

I wonder what a pork ****** is?

From the Urban Dictionary ...

A somewhat disgusting ball of minced lard, gristle, fat, liver, intestine, and occasionally pork meat, preferably served in a "rich western country sauce". Although enjoyed by some, this pork delicacy - courtesy of meat producer "Mr. Brain's" - should probably be avoided

Dollar Tree has an awesome selection of candy on the cheap... I usually hit it up in the days leading up to Halloween to feed the ravenous little monsters knocking at the door!  :D

I haven't seen any of those... interesting items you posted, Jason, but I'll keep my eye out!  ;D

My son and I went down there the other day and found the almond cookies he loves. You know, the ones you can get at Chinese restaurants. I also found some really good garlic crispy breadsticks and oregano flavored bread rounds.

I don't mind buying snacks or canned food from there. I'm not sure about perishables though.

Oh yum!  I love Chunk candy bars, with the raisins and nuts.  I haven't had one in a long time.  I may have to go and see if our store has them.

Other places for that kinda food is Aldi's and Dollar General. Gotta love that cereal made in Quebec and Eygpt!

We just stopped there today. I got some stuff for Jason's Easter basket (mainly coloring books and workbooks), some very expensive (at other locations) toothbrushes, and a book for me that was originally $25. :D
