Subject: Is there such a thing as a bad Pop Tart flavor?

Written By: ChuckyG on 02/21/07 at 11:09 am

With some food stuffs, I can think of cases where a brand makes some weird flavor that clearly only appeals to a small audience.  I don't know of any cases of weird Pop Tart flavors.  I don't even think I've ever had a bad Pop Tart, unless it was burnt to a crisp.

I have had one or two varieties I've not liked (e.g., strawberry), but I also can't think of any flavours which are bad at the conceptual level. Pop tarts seem to stay pretty reasonable.

I'd no idea they came in such a range of flavours

Cheese and Cherry as a combination sounds a bit blech

I've never been a big fan of pop tarts, so I would say "all."    ;)  My husband loves them though.

Now Toaster Strudel, that's another story.  A man was stabbed here this morning over it.  I am not kidding.

Well... any UNfrosted poptart is a bad flavor  ;).  There was a Wild Berry mix that didn't taste so good, and even though I love chocolate, I can't stand the chocolate poptart.

I never thought of it like that, I just imagined cherries with cheddar melted on them  http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/08/pukeface.gif

Cheese and fruit is a traditional combo.

I don't really like them either.  If I had to eat one I would choose one with cinnamon or brown sugar.  I do not like the fruit flavors, they taste too fake for me.

I don't like any of the ones with chocolate or brown sugar cinnamon. Raspberry is my favorite, but alot of the stores around here don't have it.

They used to have the blueberry Pop-Tarts. (Don't know if they still do)  Normally I love anything blueberry, but the pop-tarts were pretty nasty. :P

The only Pop Tart flavor I never really got into was the S'mores flavor.

Blue-flame-from-still-in-the-package-while-in-the-microwave-flavored poptarts taste sorta bad... metallicy. Other than that, I'm a fan of the fruit-flavored poptarts, but don't really care for the others.

I thought they were decent, but never really cared for them that much, I like the fruit and cinnamon ones alot more.
