There are a ton of sites with different recipes that use calamari.  I hope you find one that's yummy; I know I love it.

yeah, it 'snot so hard.  these are two relatively easy recipes for beginners.  the second one is from a men's magazine, so you know they won't do anything too complicated.  i was actually reallys urprised to see that recipe there :)

neither of them are the standard fried calamari, in case you want to be more health conscious.  i personally don't like my calamari all coated in bread batter.  ruins the falvor for me

oh wow that's a lot.  i just don't know if i can handle all those different kinds.  i kind of wanted more beginner-ey stuff.  do you know of a good source for squid?  is it better to get it fresh?  is that expensive?

I would go to a fish monger or even the seafood counter at your grocery store and get some there.  Fresh is best if you can get it.  I haven't bought it in a long time, so I don't know about how much it costs, but you can ask at the store.
