I noticed the other day that my daughter and I are quite the opposite when it comes to how we prefer our toast...

I like my toast dark because I think it has more flavor...yet my daughter likes hers very pale, with almost no color at all... :D

light to medium with little butter and sugar/cinnamon on top...or grape or strawberry jelly...growing up if it was burnt you would just scrape that off...now i throw it out back before my dad knows...

I like mine medium to dark. Apparently that translates to "burnt" by toaster manufacturers since I set mine on the highest setting ("Hiroshima"), and they still come out lightly browned.

I have to hold down the handle for english muffins and bagels...

Peanut butter and honey or butter and honey work good, though I like jelly too.

I like it medium (like golden brown). I usually use a bit of butter...or cream cheese. BUT....if I had to choose toast or a bagel..it would definitely be a bagel! :)

no offense Luke, but wtf is marmite?  I am sure it must be good, but the name is unfamiliar to me.

None taken - I doubt many people outside England or New Zealand know what marmite is. It's... well it's an acquired taste. Here's a wiki on it, as it's hard to describe.

so ya either love it, or you hate it huh?  I think i saw a jar of it at a store and was perplexed. there is a small bug callled a mite, so the name sorta doesn't appeal to me, but if you grow up with it, it's not a bad name, no worse than clotted cream I guess.  ???

If is is light bread, like scali or light rye, I like it medium, but if it is whole wheat or pumpernickle I like it dark.  I have when you go in a restaunt and they slather the butter(or whatever ) on. I like just a bit of butter,  on the white breads just butter, on the dark jam or marmalade.

Seriously though, I like it so it's just light.  I don't like it too crisp because when I go and butter it, the grumbs fly everywhere

You need a British toaster then.  At home mine had settings from 1 to 9 and anything higher than about 4 meant you burnt your toast

I just bought a loaf of wheat bread, so I think I'll make some toast before I go to work. no thank you my sister brought a jar home from NZ about 3 years ago...def a different taste...but i didn't care for it...but she said that its comparable to peanut butter....not flavor/texture but in popularity...

Medium. I like it somewhat dark (not burnt) but also crunchy. I can't stand light; I call it sissy toast.

I like my toast on the light side - but toasted, with a good helping of melted butter. Philly or something is as well.

I only like Italian & Rye bread toasted-and they have to be light-medium

I just like mine SOFT...... For years I havent been able to find SOFT BREAD,it comes out hard and disgusting!!!!! (All the preservatives in it now)


Really makes me sad...........
