I wouldn't use herbs...
Just make a butter sauce and drown them in it! :D

peel them cut a cross in the bottom of the larger ones and them boil them until cooked but not soggy.

I was once told to boil the Sprouts till you cannot count them anymore.
Dai said that when he lived in London his landlady used to cook sprouts in the minimum of water. When they boiled dry she thought they were done. Raw, burnt sprouts take some eating! 8-P

I remember watching Julia Child. She said to cut a cross in the bottom and boil them for only about 5 minutes or so-no longer.
Carlos on the hand, cuts them in half, stir fries them in butter with other veggies. He sometimes steam them.
