The Italians have their pizza & pasta and the Japanese have sushi and so on...but what foods are the Canadians known for?
The only 2 things I can think of is maple syrup & back bacon!

Poutine is probably the best known one.  It's French Fries topped with cheese curd and gravy

Nanaimo Bars

There are other lesser known dishes available at Canadian fast food restaurants, such as ...
Whistle Dog (A&W), The Burger Family (A&W), Fries Supreme (Taco Bell), Chalet Sauce (Swiss Chalet).  Chalet Sauce is also sold in powder form packets in supermarkets all over Canada

That all looks delicious!  What's in the tourtiere?  Is it some type of ground beef?

Generally, they are made with pork, but sometimes you can get beef.  Basically, it's a giant meat pie.  They are soo delicious :)

I am told that Taco Bells in America do not sell Fries :o
The Fries Supreme is so tasty .. French Fries topped with ground beef, green onions, tomatoes, cheese sauce and sour cream .. soooo good! :)
