Subject: Beans On Toast

Written By: pimpag on 07/09/08 at 8:04 am

Come on, who's a fan? I can never get bored of that, seriously, it's yummy! I cut all my toast up into tiny little squares too, like a child's dinner, haha.

I've never eaten beans on toast.  What kind of beans are they exactly?  Like pork and beans?  Are they in some type of sauce?

Used to be a Saturday lunch type thing.  But the kids don't like the beans here.  Not the same sauce as Heinz beans  :-\\

Might be a good combination with cut up hot dogs included as well.  :)

In the UK they used to sell (might still sell) Beans and Sausage together.  We used to put them in a Breville toasted sandwich (slice the sausage up first).  Yummy!

Beans and franks on toast were pretty much a Saturday staple when I was a kid.

I don't think I could eat that.  8-P No offense to the people that like it, but it seems like it might have a weird texture--squishy beans and soggy bread--and I'm just a stickler about textures! LOL!

Mmmmm but the soggy bread is the best bit!  :D

I love beans on toast but it must have pepper on it! I like it even more if you add in some grilled sausages and some scrambled egg... aka for a big fried breakfast.  ;D

Pretty much and Aussie staple, the old Heinz Baked Beans on toast. We used to always have on Sunday nights as kids. Or tinned spaghetti on toast.

I sometimes have beans on toast, but there have been ways in which I've made this simple dish more interesting. I once added poached or fried eggs on top. Other additions include grated Cheddar cheese, HP Brown Sauce and a dash of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce.
