I am known to skip a meal to mow through a cake.  Lately though, I've been loving Wise Onion Rings.  I don't know if they're a regional snack, but they're awesome.

I've eaten seaweed but not as a snack.  I've eaten it fried with bacon (a Welsh dish called lava (or laver) bread) and also with chinese and japanese style meals.

Is seaweed hard and crunch - dehydrated seaweed
or is it more like cooked spinach :-\\
Not a snack I do not believe - but helluva good in sushi and miso soup

The lava bread is more like cooked spinach which you then fry.
I have also eaten dried crunchy seaweed which I guess is the sort Frank is talking about

I remember when I was in my teens I would eat it all the time and we called it Dulse. It was some pretty good stuff! ;)

I believe dulse is a variety of seaweed.  Likewise laver bread is made from laver seaweed

I like the seaweed you get in Chinese retaurants but then that is deep fried!  ;D
cake or chocolate for sweet stuff
Mini chedars, salted peanuts or cheesy wotsitts for a savoury snack.
Fruit like cherries, sultanas and pecans, cashews, brazils or almonds for a slightly healthier option.

I love trail mix (peanuts, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, m&ms) I tend to start and don't stop to the bag is almost gone.  :-[
So I'm trying a new strategy, individually wrapped, portion controlled bags of the stuff.  We'll see how that goes.
Sometimes I will have a dish of cottage cheese for snack.  Also like those string cheese.

-CHIPS!!!! Ruffles, Doritos, Sun Chips, Bugles, etc. etc. I'm not too picky about my chips. And salsa with them is also good.
-CHOCOLATE!!! Hershey's (bars, kisses, etc), Terry's Chocolate Orange, Ferrero Rocher, etc.
I also like cheese doodles, Gold Fish, nuts (doesn't matter what kind), Funyuns, Little Debbie Oatmeal Cookies, & other things that I can't think of at the moment.
Man, I just gained 10 pounds listing all of that junk food.  :D ;D ;D ;D
