Subject: Appian Way Pizza

Written By: Lindee on 11/16/18 at 2:56 pm

Does anyone remember Appian Way pizza? It was a pizza kit (like Chef Boyardee) in which you got the crust mix, pizza sauce, and parmesan cheese. We never would have any meat to put on it so my Mom would use lunchmeat (yuk) or leftover hamburger if she had any. It was hard to make if you didn't have a pizza pan ( we used a cookie sheet). The crust would never go far enough to the edges. I remember the sauce and cheese came in cans and later on was in pouches. Haven't seen it in any store so I assume it's no longer made.

Yes, I remember making it as a young teen in the early 70's.  If I recall right, I decided I liked frozen pizza better  :-\\

To be completely fair, I'm not 100% sure the brand on the pizza we made was Appian Way, though it fit the description - if ours was a cheap knockoff, my apologies.
