I don't know about French Creek Freddie and Concord Charlie, the two groundhogs of West Virginia, yet, so I'll read about their predictions either in the evening paper or the 6:00 news.  But seeing that it has been sunny here in Charleston, I can bet they saw their shadows too.  And if the groundhog that lives in my back yard was out, he'd see his shadow too…

I don't adhere to any groundhog weather predictions. I heard Puxatawny Phil is also predicting the Super Bowl winner. I have a sneaky suspicion who he will pick. ::)
Charlie and Henrietta, whom predicted the weather for Indianapolis, are no longer with us. I don't know if we even have a groundhog now.

I finally found out that French Creek Freddie did see his shadow, therefore six more weeks of bad weather (which is sort of good news since we have had only two snowstorms but lots of abnormally high temperatures).  But it must have been cloudy in southern West Virginia, because Concord Charlie did not see his shadow, therefore an early spring.
