Subject: TLC's Lisa Lopes killed in crash

Written By: rip_jeans on 04/26/02 at 04:18 a.m.

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of the group TLC, was killed in a car crash while on vacation according to the AP. TLC's hits included Baby Baby Baby, Creep, Waterfall, No Scrub, Let's Talk About Sex, What A Man, What About Your Friends, and Shoop. There might be more though. This had to be one of my favorite groups of the 90's. It's such a tragedy.

Ouch, oh damn.  That really sucks. :(  TLC was an excellent group with beautiful music.

These three songs were sung by Salt 'n Pepa, not TLC. It sucks that she died. They were one of my favorite groups and Lisa was just cool. Right now on VH1, they are playing their videos. She will be missed by a lot of people. :'(

I heard about this too. A truly sad piece of news for anyone that was a fan of any of their songs. Waterfalls and Dear Lie were standouts for me, although No Scrubs was also a great song.

This is particularly sad knowing the affect "Left-Eye" had on the Latino community as well as the black community. A big loss indeed.  :'(

I believe everyone heard about it.  Yeah it's sad, but I will truely miss Aaliyah more than Lisa.

What the hell is going on with singers and musicians been taken recently? I was not a TLC fan, but to lose someone so young and so influential is a tragedy. My sympathy goes out to her family, friends and fans, and also to those of

Chuck Schuldiner (Death)
Aaliyah
Layne Staley (Alice in Chains)
Randy Castillo (Ozzy, Motley Crue)
Paul Baloff (Exodus)

who all died in the last few months.

i heard about this several days after it happened and i was floored.  it's never good when anyone dies, but she was my favorite member of tlc.  she was so young, talented and beautiful and the music community will miss her. :'( :'(

and i agree with you, goreripper, this is not a happy trend with all these musicians dying. not happy at all.

I cried when I heard that she was dead. I was a big fan of TLC and remember buying their album CrazySexyCool. I loved her nickname, I still can't believe that she died when she was just 31 :'(

It's horrible...all these musicians dying :(
