Since there haven't been any good radio stations worth listening to for rock without Britney/Christina/Backstreet Boys/*NSYNC/etc. in Charleston, WV, since 1998, I've been listening mainly to country.  And because of that I would have to give my answer as a country song:

How Do You Like Me Now?! by Toby Keith.

"Keep Away"-Godsmack. ;)
Just kidding. I would choose "Peacful World" by John (Cougar) Mellencamp, because most of us want one now in these turbulent times.

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World
I heard this song yesterday and it's so fitting for me now.  It's become my anthem.  I'll have to look for the single.  If anyone finds it, please give me a yell.  Thanks, cs

Older by They Might Be Giants. But only half joking there.  “You're older than you’ve ever been…and now you're even older...and now you're even older...”

For some reason, Toxicity by System of a Down has really struck a cord with me.  Must be because I feel my life is always in some constant disorder.

Hey cricket, also check out the lyrics to "I Want to be in Love" by Melissa Ethridge.  That describes my situation best.
