I have quite a few, I like John Mayer, I like Ashanti, I also like Aaliyah's singles.  I like Aaron Lewis from Staind, he has a strong singing voice.  I also like Mary J. Blige.

Scott Stapp (Creed)

I like Scott Stapp from Creed (despite the fact my hubby thinks it's only because he's "hot"...I like his voice and music as well!!) and I also really liked Savage Garden--Darren Hayes has a very nice voice, IMO.  Not as fond of his solo efforts-still has the nice voice, I just don't care as much for the music in general.
I really can't think of anyone else just now.  I haven't bought a "modern album" in a very long time.   ::)

I think it's too early to have a favorite for this decade because it's still early.  I'm not crazy about today's music but I love Jill Scott, Craig David, Case and Maxwell. The CDs Open Letter by Case, Who's Jill Scott by Jill Scott, Born to Do It by Craig David and Now by Maxwell are the only CDs I listen to in full by any of today's current artists.

Usher(Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson molded together), Aaliyah(R.I.P.), Aaron Lewis, Anastacia(The Chaka Khan of this generation), Eric Benet, Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill(whatever happened to her?), Amber(The Queen of the Clubs right now and for the past 5 years), Rockell(Cool Dance Diva, I know some people don't like her because she is beautiful), Ginuwine(mostly hit or miss artist.) I also like this new Paulina Rubio chick. That "Don't Say Goodbye" song is so catchy and 80's style.)
