Subject: American Idol

Is anyone else watching this? I thought it would be stupid at first, maybe another meking the band clone, but I was wrong.  the  Three judges (Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, paula Abdul) are Hillarious.  the kids auditioning get up and sing, and the judges tell them what they think.  Some of the kids were in tears.

What do you think about Simon Cowell. He's our (The UK's) representative at the competition. And does anyone know the truth about whether Rik Waller (if you've heard about him, you'd notice him) is definitely planning to enter or not?

I think Simon makes the show, without his remarks the show wouldn't be worth watching.  I don't think rik wallers allowed to enter being he already won Pop Idol.

i've only seen the tv ads for it.  i don't think i could watch the show at all.  just hearing some of the tone deaf idiots that were on the commercials makes me want to avoid it all together so as to keep my ears from bleeding.

He didn't win it over here. He had quite a bad throat for two weeks on the run and dropped out third/fourth week of final nominations. He has, however, released a godawful cover version of "I Will Always Love You".

They already weeded out the tone deaf idiots on Tuesday.  It is quite a funny show...and I say this from a tone deaf point of view.  I laught because I am not nuts enough to go on a show like this to get told I can't carry a tune in a bucket.  It is pretty funny...Simon does make the show.

The time I caught an episode, I was impressed with Paula Abdul's persona.

I concur, RnRf. (Place vomit smilie here) Fortunately, I'm not watching a lot of summer television, so I just avoid these teen idol wannabee shows. I don't watch "Survivor" either. ;)

The only good thing about that show is seeing Paula Abdul. Thats about it. I haven't seen the show but we have seen these types of shows before like "Making The Band" and "Popstars". I  just don't like the State of TV right now with reality shows and all the other crap.  BTW, Paula Abdul might be my Dream Date if I ever had to pick a famous person to go out with. I could care less if she is 39 and I'm 22. Age is nothing but a number right?

I should state my opinion more clearly about "The Age is Nothing But a Number Thing". I would never go out with a girl thats underage(under 18) or who is more than 5-6 years older than me. I could never see myself having a relationship with a woman who is 10 years older than me, it would just be too awkward. The Paula Abdul "dream date" is a different story because she is a celebrity. I just wanted to clear the air and have nobody think of me in a negative light. Sorry to get off topic.
