The grandmother in those Holiday Inn commercials, or the Dell computer guy?
It's close, but I have to give the nod to the cackling grandmother. ::)

That damn grandmother...I have to mute the TV to be able to get thru it...I used to think the grandson was a pain....but now she has replaced him!!!!!

The Dell guy. I can't stand him. My dad thinks the commercials are hilarious, and I liked the 1st one. But now, I'm just sick of him!!

I think the Dell punk is more annoying than grandma, if only because she doesn't have a lot of speaking lines. But the most chalkboard-scratching commercial is the Karen/Trish/Jill Kia commercial. You know, when "Jill" says "Is Trish mad because Karen is dating her boyfriend?"

Um, I'll go with choice "D," Bob - none of the above. I HATE those Bank Of America commercials even more - especially the one where they tweaked Erik Satie's "Gymnopedie" (aaaaaargh! It just makes me want to pull clumps of hair from my head. It's that hateful of a commercial. I hate that bank too - all their rates are, like, 1% away from usury >:( ).

Though I have seen Steve, the Bill-and-Ted's Excellent Adventure-clone from Dell, and yes he is annoying--I have never seen the Holiday Inn granny!! How bad is she?
And J.C.--you're right, most of those KIA commercials bug the crap out of me, actually!

And I know in certain states there are the "Watson" with their daughter as the pitch person..while she may be nice looking...they way she talks and throws her shoulders around and her hair all in her face drives me nuts...after midnite here on any channel they run them every 30 seconds!!!!

You must be talking about the "Watson's" pool girl Jennifer Eichler, with that screechy high-pitched voice. She annoys me too. And her co-pitchman is about as unbearable.
And speaking of locally run commercials. How about the new "Buddy's Carpet" ads? It's grating enough that this whiner has to pitch his merchandise by himself. Now he has a trophy babe on there that watches him while he whines too. She hardly says anything. >:(

Her co-pitch is her step-dad....and he can barely even talk....most things he says sounds like he is trying to talk with a mouth full of gum!!!

I'm am so glad that others are getting to enjoy the "Watson's" commecials!! She is terribly annoying and her voice drives me crazy!!!

Okay, The Kids in the Hall are in Chicago and with them Whathisface the Comedy Dog. You know, the puppet Rottweiller who smokes a cigar and craps on everything? Yeah, well, everybody's doing it for free except the guy who does the puppet. He asked for two thousand dollars for "expenses". What expenses you ask? He's got Jared the Subway guy and THE DELL COMPUTER BOY coming in specifically so he can poop on them!

Just today I was saying how much I hated the Holiday Inn ads.They make me want to bang my head against the wall Baby! I don't think I can stay in another Holiday Inn without hearing that her voice.
Personally I think the Dell guy is a cutie but they are wearing him out a little.

Speaking of Thomas' Bagels, there was another ad about two men carrying a sofa up their apartment's stairs. The first one up is distracted by a leggy lass holding a grocery bag with Thomas' Bagels. He yells, "Thomas' Bagels??!" and he drops the sofa on his 'friend'. The next scene is the friend trying to eat a bagel wearing a full body cast. Now how many people think the friend should slice A.D.D. man after he gets the cast off?

Diet Start Date: Mid-March 1998
Height: 6' 2''
Starting weight: 425 pounds
Current weight: 190 pounds
Exercise during diet: At first nothing, until he got down to about 300 lbs. Slowly, he replaced riding the bus with walking to classes. By 250 pounds, he walked everywhere during the day. Typically 1.5 miles per day.
Ending diet date: Early March 1999 (not quite a full year from start date)
Diet today: Slowly started eating other foods. Chooses foods with low fat. Eats a lot more calories (about 2,400 per day), but now limits the fat. He drinks only diet drinks, little liquor or beer and walks whenever he can.
Motivation: He stayed motivated with the help of his college friend, JL (currently in medical school) and with the support of his family.
Why SUBWAY®: There is a SUBWAY® restaurant right next to where Jared’s apartment had been while he was at the University. He passed by everyday. He used to eat there frequently but one day when he was at his heaviest, he noticed the sign advertising sandwiches with "7 under 6" grams of fat. He ate a 6-inch turkey (no oil, mayo or condiments or cheese) for lunch and a 12-inch veggie (no condiments or cheese) for dinner. He ate the same sandwiches every day. This is what made it so easy. Once he saw the *weight begin to come off, it only made him want to eat more of the low-fat sandwiches.
What he ate everyday:
Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - "I ate the 6-inch turkey, tons of vegetables, including hot peppers and a bit of spicy mustard." He left off the mayonnaise and cheese and had a bag of Baked Lays® potato chips and a diet soft drink
Dinner - Footlong veggie sub - again no mayonnaise or cheese.
Maintenance: Today, Jared still enjoys his favorite SUBWAY® sandwich, but has eased himself into eating other foods. He always chooses foods low in fat and limits the amount of alcoholic beverages. He still drinks only "diet" beverages and continues his walking regimen.
What he says about SUBWAY® Restaurants: "SUBWAY® helped save my life over and over. I can't ever repay that."

I always believed he lost weight because after he bought a sub he couldn't afford to eat anything else.

LOL, I thought the guy jumping over the counters was a bit exaggerated too! And that jared guy did not lose all that weight just by eating subway food either, i never believed it from the first moment they said it on tv.
