Yeah.. beats Alanis Morissette.

I like her music, but "Underneath Your Clothes" is getting old.

I rather enjoy the sexy, quivering lilt in Shakira's voice. But I enjoy her Spanish language material over her English songs! :)

I like Shakiras songs, and I definitely think that her voice is unique. How she was forced to sing that line in Whenever Wherever, someone will have to tell me, but I've listened to a few of her foreign language songs, and as much as I don't understand them, I enjoy listening to them.

I think I've said this before, but IMO she's like a Spanish and bi-lingual version of Alanis Morrisette. I can't stand either of them singing. :P

I avoid the radio waves now (more so than ever before) because I'd need a blood transfusion with the way they play their stuff over and over and over and my ears bleed.  ::)

Shakira is also the Spanish version of Britney Spears for the Pepsi commericials. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/fragend/fragend003.gif

Pepsi's reps must have whiffed too much hair bleach. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/sprachlos/sprachlos022.gif

Just my opinion, of course.  ;)

I agree, here where i live, and i swear this is true, shakira's songs are played like every half an hour. No joke.

I really do not understand what is so special about her? I dislike her voice and the style of her songs.

I much prefer Alanis Morrissette to her! 'Head Over Feet' is a good song guys! :)

I admit Shakira is a beautiful woman but her music is something I cannot listen to.

LOL. Just as long as the reps don't spill the bleach in their product.

I can't stand Shakira's singing... I think I'd rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard...

I think her singing is average. Of course I overlook that because of her awesome stage presence, & dancing!  ;D

Another no talent like Beyonce' & Britney Spears.  :P

I remember on an interview that she claimed to be a "rocker like Courtney Love", but her music is more salsa/pop.  :-/

IMO, not my type of music and that "Whatever, Whenever" song was annoying.

I'd rather listen to Alanis Morissette or Courtney Love than Shakira at any given day of the week.  8)

I'm sorry, but Shakira just does not get my mojo workin'.  :-/

When she bleached her hair blonde to get more attention (ie, look less "ethnic"), and when her main asset is wiggling her butt, it sends a clear signal that the voice has little to offer.  When your talent is in doubt, bleach your hair out.

Besides, she really can not sing on key.  Listen to her tunes and she often "snaps" out of range.  Some people will, of course, call this "phrasing".  But I would put down serious money that Shakira could never sing a Karen Carpenter tune from beginning to end without "phrasing" to cover up her lack of voice skill.

She can spell anything?

Shakira: I think her English-ish language songs suffer badly from dodgy translation....I also noticed serious parrallels between Lyric Boys' comments about Shakira & the Beyonce f-arse.

Note: Facetious comments entered by Goodsin, enemy of pap. ;D
