Subject: Songs That Are Stuck In Your Head

Written By: Junior on 08/25/02 at 01:05 p.m.

What songs are stuck in your head right now?

I have Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" and "Straight Up" stuck in my head from Tuesday (or was it Wednesday?)'s "American Idol".

Dirty Vegas' "Days Go By" keeps playing over and over again in my mind. :-/

Puddle Of Mudd's "She Hates Me" and John Mayer's "No Such Thing" and "Your Body Is A Wonderland" also keep replaying in my head.

Right Now there are two:

Day In The Sun - Peter Frampton
Jungle Boy - John Eddie

I can understand Jungle Boy because it's NJ shore bar-band type music and I love it!  All those Whoas and Yeahs.   Frampton keeps coming in with that chorus: Waiting for no one, only the waiting for our day in the sun, live for the rhythm, the rhythm of living for our day in the sun. I think it reminds me of a Van Halen song with David Lee Roth.

Ever since we submitted the broth parodies I've had "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston floating around in my head...I've been trying to drown it out with James Brown, but it's not working too well.

I think that "Thousand Miles" song by that Carlton chick is in there somewhere too, they play that song on the radio 8000 times a day (not even kidding).

No, I believe you have it wrong, RiceCube -- if you're implying that Vanessa Carlton's song is the most overplayed song...then you haven't heard "Skater Boi" (Avril) or "Dilemma" (Nelly) played on three different stations one after another. (I'm serious)

Anyways...the latest songs stuck in my head:

Daniel Beddingfeild "Gotta Get Through This" (love this song!)
Dashboard Confessional "Saints And Sailors" (love this song too!)
