Subject: Bands To Watch For

Heard a new band that you really like, and wanna let the members know about it? Post it here.

Two local bands, one who's really hittin' it big now -- justincase (currently getting radioplay on radio stations and MTV and MuchMusic ), and also Weekend Excursion.

justincase reminds me of the band "The Calling" in a way. The singer has a similar voice (though not as deep), and they have that same sound, kind of. Really good band. But they're kind of "pop"-ish. Think of a combo between Avril Lavinge, The Calling, and BBMak.

Weekend Excursion is for the "rock" crowds. I'd describe their sound as Lenny Kravitz mixed with Vertical Horizon. Their music is mostly alternative.

Maroon 5, Queens Of The Stone Age & Riddlin' Kids are all bands to watch out for too.

My band. They're called Everyone I Went to High School With Is Dead, or Eiwthswid (Youthswid), for short. It's a sort of an emo-industrial-alterna-Gothic-death-metal combo.

Just kidding!

If your into old school punk rock such as Thw White Stripes or The Vines, there is a local band called The Slurs that's getting a lot of offers from major record labels and MTV. Keep a lookout. ;)

Look out for a band by the name of 'Love Candy' who has a great sound (sort of a Beatles-Cars sound).  Their new song, "Can't Let You Go" is going to be featured on the movie, "Harvard Man", starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, and will be in theatres soon.  They're awesome!
