I'm very excited about it!  :D
Here we are hearing November 15 as the opening day..I'm sure we'll go right after school that afternoon, just like we did for the Sorcerer's Stone!  I hope it will be just as good, and just as true to the book as the last one was.

I'm also anxiously awaiting that fifth book!!  I can't wait for her to release it..but I'm willing to wait a few more months just so she get it just as perfect as she wants to.  :)

If you are going to see it on the 9th, hope you'll let us know how it was!!  ;)

I've not read the books so I'm not all hyped up for it. I did see the first movie, however, and it was pretty good so I am interested in seeing it. However, all my hype is being monopolized by The Two Towers. :)

The newspapers here are saying J.K.Rowling may never write another Harry Potter. The fifth book is 18 months overdue and she hasn't even started it yet apparently. However to be fair to her she has had all the publicity stuff to do,the films to oversee and got married this year so I think she deserves some time off!I just think it would be really sad if there were no more books.

actually, the newsreport I read, mentioned the trial in the US with the writer who claimed she plagerized the terms and names in addition to her pregnacy sucked up all of her time.. I'm sure the next book will be out in a year or so.. it'll be interesting to see how she ages Harry at this point.. since he'll be 16 I think in the next one..

I read this article:

www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/09/20/1032054946681.html

In case you can't get to the link, it says J.K. Rowling is still working on the fifth book, (it does already have a title--Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) and that:

"There's a lot of book done. That's all I want to say, because if I give it a date and then I pass it everyone will be upset," she said.
"I will say that I have a beginning, a middle and an end - you could read it all the way through and I know a lot of Harry Potter fans will say just to give it to us. But I'm a perfectionist and I want a bit more of a tweak," she said.

In any case, I'd say she'll still be writing Harry Potter books for quite some time (since I hear there should be 7 altogether.  ;D)

Lets hope so.I wonder if she might not take longer over the next book or two once her baby is born,I'm sure you'd be the first to agree Marci you don't get alot of spare time with a baby about!
