Subject: Winona Ryder Found Guilty of Felony Theft

Written By: 80sRocked on 11/06/02 at 12:49 a.m.

Felony Grand Theft:  Guilty
Burglary: Not Guilty
Vandalism: Guilty

Its nice to see a Hollywood celebrity get what they deserve for committing a crime.

Looks like her next outfit will be an orange jumpsuit, rendering her stolen clothes useless.

I'm wondering why she felt the need to steal in the first place!

I have no idea.  Seems a bit insane to me that a millionaire actress would be shoplifting.

Didn't she say she something about researching a role or some cr*p like that? I'm glad she was found guilty, but I'm sure her punishment will amount to nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Kelsey Grammer said that it's "Common Practice" for big Hollyweird stars to leave and not pay..the agent will call the store later and settle the bill, and he thinks that's acceptable.  His girlfriend, on the other hand, said that if she owned a store and someone stole, she would press charges...no matter who it was. I bet Kelsey won't be with her much longer...AND those stupid "Free Wynona" T-shirts  should be altered to say "Free FOR Wynona :( I agree with you though, Jessica (Big Suprise) that she'll probably get a slap on the wrist, just like Ali's daughter did.

String her up and let her hang.  Kelsey is arrogant too, put him up next.

Really, no one shoud get away with crimes and justification, arrogance and denial should only make the punishment worsen.

I'm glad she was found guilty if she did the crime. But my co-worker, whom we shall remain anonymous, said "I don't care if she did do it or not, I hope she gets off and doesn't have to serve any time." (BBB-Blinded By Beauty ::)) Winona will probably only get the usual 2 years probation and community service, as do most celebs who commit crimes short of murder. But either way, she has learned her lesson. (BTW, was it ever known why she needed the drug she "allegedly" wrote the illegal presciption for?)  :-/

And all she'll get is probation!

Her career is pretty much shot. I heard on the news that they said she'll have a hard time going over seas and securing insurance for movies.
I wonder what was going through her mind when she stole.  ???

Maybe she will get the "wrist slap", but that's not uncommon at any level of society.  And maybe it is a light penalty, but if you or I had been convicted of shop lifting I doubt we'd see our picture on the cover of People.  At least our crimes remain private.

According to her agent, things have never looked better for her career. Supposedly, she's been getting tons of movie offers. ::) Oh yeah, real good. If you're rich and commit a crime, you'll get away with it and be that much more popular!

It's not going too well for Robert Blake...just as it didn't work out well for O.J.

But I guess that's totally different.

Yeah Rice, the last time I saw Robert Blake in a flick was back in the 80's when he did a remake of Mice and Men.  Don't think killing his wife could have done him much worse for his career.

Nah, I hear David E. Kelly's writing up a script for her and Robert Downey Jr. as we speak.

I think, being a big star and all, she can definitely afford all the "hillbilly heroin" she wants :)
