Subject: Sleep

Written By: John_Seminal on 11/23/02 at 01:31 a.m.

How many hours a night do you sleep? I sleep for 10 whenever I can get a chance. Sleep is my favorite hobby. I read somewhere that Napoleon only slept 3 or 4 hours a night. No wonder he was grumpy and wanted to conquer the world. What about you?

I do best at 7 hours.  I can certainly go over that at times but my body and brain protest the next day.

Only between 5 & 6 hours, which really isn't enough....

But if I go to bed earlier, I wake up a lot, which makes me like the avatar at left <  ::)

Sleep??  You're joking, right?  :-/

If I'm lucky I get about 4 or 5 hours.  Funny how having a baby just feet from your bed affects your sleeping habits!

But, had you asked me pre-baby, I'd say I slept around 7 or 8 hours a night, depending on the kids' school and so on..

Same here,  the more sleep I get at night, the more tired I am during the day.

I need about 8 on the average.

I like to get at least 7 hours of sleep. 8 hours of sleep is always great because you know you are going to be fully awake all day. Anywhere from 5 and a half to 6 hours of sleep a day I always feel kind of tired. Anything less than 5 hours of sleep I have to battle myself to be fully awake all day.

On school nights, I sleep from 9:30 or 10 P.M. to 5:30 A.M. (7-8 hours). And on weekends, I sleep for hours and hours (mostly until 10, 11 the next morning). Sleep is the one thing I do best, that and writing original songs. :)

Mine wildly varies.  On a normal day, I got to bed between midnight and two, and wake up between seven and nine.  But it changes.  Last night, for example, I went to bed at 5:15 AM and woke up at one in the afternoon.

Usually between 7 and 8 hours.  Sometimes on the weekends I like to take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.

Not I anymore, I loved coffee and latte's etc, heck it's practically required in Seattle.  But I quit sleeping for more than 90 minutes at a time.  I went to the Dr. and he said, quit the coffee, and eat better, exersice, etc too.  I immediaty switched to two cups in the morn, no more. Cut that down to 1 cup after a 2 months, then got to point I couldn't finish a cup, then cut it out completely.  I used to get terrible headaches if I didn't have a cup by 10:00 am, now I'm sleeping better and when I treat myself to a good Mocha I really enjoy it more.

My sleeping habits are very erratic. Ideally I like to go to bed at midnight and get up at five. Well, okay, I don't like to do that, but I try for that schedule. If I stay on the computer till about 7:30 am then I'm fine for the rest of the day. But if I log off earlier I often go back to bed and sleep anywhere till 9-11. On nights that I stay up late I sleep in. I am really a night person, but cannot follow the schedule that I really wish to... (I used to work second shift and would come home and stay up all night till about 7 am -- ah, the good old days! :D )

I used to do the 2nd shift, I would get home around 1:30 and play on the computer or watch some tube, I would usually fall asleep watching Washignton Journal on C-span, it would start at 4 or 5 am in the West Coast.

I like to get eight hours of sleep every night, between midnight and 8 am.  I get off this computer at night and go to bed and hopefully get up around 8 am.  And if I can't get to sleep, I have no real reason to visit the board…

Caffien on an empty stomach will do it, especially if you haven't slept in awhile.
I also quit snoring and hitting the bathroom near as much.

I don't think I should she a doctor,Race. Those spasms are like tiny heartbeats that contract.I think it's the muscles that aren't being used.Sort of like one time,I was writing with my pen so hard,I squeezed down and moments later,My middle finger twitched.-howard-
