Written By: lebeiw15 on 12/26/02 at 04:40 p.m.

So, what were the all-time, in your opinion, most overplayed songs in 2002?  You know, the ones that came on once every two hours.

"Complicated"--Avril Lavigne
"Dilemma"-- Nelly feat Kelly Rowland
"One Last Breath"-- Creed
"Ordinary Day" and "A Thousand Miles"-- Vanessa Carlton
"All You Wanted" and "Goodbye to You"-- Michelle Branch
"Heaven"-- DJ Sammy
"Hero"-- Chad Kroeger feat. Josey Scott
"How You Remind Me" and "Too Bad"-- Nickelback
"Just Like a Pill" and "Don't Let Me Get Me"-- Pink
"In the End"-- Linkin Park
"Soak up the Sun"-- Sheryl Crow
"Drive"-- Incubus
"It's Been Awhile"-- Staind

That list pretty much nails it to a tee, Lebeiw.

Also:

No Doubt "Hella Good"
Good Charlotte "Lifestyles..."
Creed "My Sacrifice"
Eminem "Lose Yourself" (don't get me wrong, this song rocks)

and thanks to "one last breath," i learned how to sing like creed.  there's something to add to my résumé.  :D

Also "Rock Star" by N.E.R.D.  It was a good song but way overplayed.

Ah, but see, see, you're dead wrong about that.  13-year-olds spend much, MUCH more on music than your average thirty-year-old.  Teens ARE the target audience.

I don't know about where you live, but for the entire months of November & December all I heard was the "new" Nirvana song (i forgot the name).  It was great hearing it the first 10 times, but now, I can't stomach it.   One of our local radio stations here WHFS actually played it 5 times in a row the first day it was released.  Who listens to the same song 5 times in a row?  WTF?

Daniel Bedingfield sings that song.
Anyway, songs that were played a lot last year included World Of Our Own by Westlife and Freak like Me By Sugababes, their first number 1 hit.
