Subject: Songs You Will NOT Get Sick Of!

Written By: lebeiw15 on 01/05/03 at 06:00 p.m.

What are some songs that you just CANNOT get sick of, no matter how old, boring, or overplayed they are?  I still like these songs:

How You Remind Me by Nickelback
Drive by Incubus
Smooth by Santana feat. Rob Thomas

I think everyone I know is terribley sick of those songs.  Not me :)

Yours?

"Beat It"
"Like A Virgin"
"Hello"(Lionel Ritchie)

These songs I will never get sick of hearing because those
songs were part of my childhood and they're songs that just
stay in the back my mind forever. :)

You know how if you hear a song you don't like enough times, you start liking it?  And you know how if you hear a song you like enough times, you start to get sick of it?  This song was so badly overplayed I went from not liking it to liking it to not liking it again.

To answer the question though, I don't think I could ever hear "Sweet Child o' Mine" enough times.

Well, I believe there is.  I converted all of them to MP3 (and when I say all I mean ALL) so I could play them on the one disk...

However, I left off "Old Brown Shoe", George Harrison at his rambling worst, IMNSHO.... :(

Walk This Way - Aerosmith
Epic - Faith No More
Cowboy - Kid Rock
Roxy Roller - Sweeney Todd
Slow Poke - April Wine
Raise A Little Hell - Trooper

Hmmm. Is this the original version of Nick Gilder's "Roxy Roller"? Nick Gilder rules! He rulz dammit!! He used to be the lead singer of Sweeney Todd (I think Bryan Adams replaced him...).End Quote

Yes this is the original.  Nick was the lead singer of Sweeney Todd and he was replaced by a very high-pitched, squeaky-voiced Bryan Adams for their second album "If Wishes Were Horses".

Pink Floyd
David Bowie
Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry
Japan/David Sylvian

Kent
Ladytron

I can play any album by these artists without skipping tracks...

For current songs, here are a few I don't mind hearing over and over and over and over and over and over again (and over...)

Linkin Park - "In The End"
Eminem - "Without Me" and "Lose Yourself"
Snoop Dogg - "From The Church To Da Palace"
Missy Elliot - "Work It" and "Gossip Folks"
Ludacris feat I-20 & Mystikal - "Move B****" (cracks me up)
Vanessa Carlton - "A Thousand Miles"

But I spend most of my time listening to the 80's...

Great song!
--
I'm trying to think of (mainly) 'oldies' that are overplayed. My choices would be:
- Any 80s Madonna single, plus the singles from 'Bedtime Stories', 'Don't Tell Me', and 'Vogue'
- London Calling by The Clash (this seems to be in everything I see lately! Die Another Day, Billy Elliot - even in the 'Friends' in London episode!)
- Kylie - Can't get you outta my head
- Build Me Up Buttercup - Foundations
- Respect - Aretha Franklin
- A-ha - Take On Me
- Justin Timberlake - Like I Love you (I really do think this is a great song)
- RHCP - The Zephyr Song
- Human League - Don't You Want Me
- Soft Cell - Tainted Love ( I would actually love to hear the original on the radio someday)

I really didn't want to say, 'Anything by The Smiths, The Jam, Police singles, The Bluetones singles etc.... Oops, just did ;D

Thats about all I can think of for now
