Subject: Michael Jackson deserves respect

Written By: linda on 01/10/03 at 06:06 a.m.

When surfing the internet or watching tv I still findpeople
disrespecting Michael jackson

On my wbesite www.michael-jackson.beginthier.nl
for that reason I only alow sites that are resepctful towards the jacksons.

People still are joking about michael jackson and their are michael jackson haters
that post in forums from michael jackson fans with disresepctful messages.
I keep me liking michael jackson usually for myselve and just post in michael jackson messageboards.

But Michael Jackson is a person who makes great music. That's all that should matter
I'm sure someday he get's the respect he deserves.

Best wishes,

Linda

Woah!  :o

I guess he still has a fan out there.

1) Are you saying he desrves respect just as a singer?

Because that is the only conceivable way he'll get any respect and for that purpose only.

As a human being he is physically and mentally disturbed and it is a matter of record and well documented.

In my opinion, I would gain some respect for him if he gave-up those children he possesses into a normal home to get a normal, proper and stable up-bringing and got himself the help he needs once and for all. He should stop being so selfish and think of those children. The way they're being raised is not healthy.  :-/

Sorry, Linda, you may respect MJ and that is fine it is your opinion. I may respect your opinion but you will not be able (and should not try)to make people change their minds about theirs. :-/ Music? fine. Don't ask me what I think of his personal life unless you want to hear negative comments.

That weirdo deserves nothing....

Alligations of "touching" a boy
Changing from black to white
Dangling a Baby over a balcony

I think he needs to see a shrink....  The only thing he needs is a plaster to hold that nose on his face.

I enjoyed the "Off The Wall" LP in 1979...he wasn't a bad looking guy and those songs were okay. Why he then began to "Evolve" into to the Whacko he is today...I don't even pretend to know.  What I DO know is that he is sick. I respect Your opinion, you just like me have every right to thier own ones. What he chooses to do to himself is his own business, so long as it doesn't affect or endanger others, fine.  Dangling a baby out of a window is something that he had no right to do...."Allegedly"  ::) molesting that little boy was something he should be in jail for...but then LOTS of people should be in jail that aren't...can you say O.J. >:(

I don't think most people would be upset with Michael Jackson for changing his apperance and going from Black to White and getting the plastic surgery.  I mean the guy already looked very different by the late 80's.  For a while it seemed that the public percieved Jackson as his own private eccentric self that wasn't hurting anyone.

But the molestation charges that came about in the mid 90's of that 13 year old kid is something he has never been able to shake.  Even if he is innocent, it is one of those things were people don't care.  There's smoke, so people will believe there is fire.  And if he was innocent, he never did a good job at proving his case, paying off that kid and his family to shut up looked so sleazy.

Accusing the record companies of being racist, and dangling a baby over a ledge have not won him any fans either.  Plus the media just loves to make fun of Jackson every chance they get.

Bah.  The man has done more damage to music than he's done good, and he hasn't a song of any real quality since 1982.  He's also a borderline insane, not to mention unscrupulously greedy, and by all accounts morally bankrupt human being.

Linda, I am with you!  Michael Jackson's got my respect - as a musician, humanitarian and a human being.  I have been a supporter for more than 2 decades and I will continue to support him.

He persists, no matter how many individuals try to destroy his spirit with negative and insulting commentary - that amazes me!

Suffice it to say, I adore Michael Jackson - the man and the musician.  Always have.  Always will.

I must admit that I did enjoy his 80s music..."Bad" and "Thriller" were my faves.  But one has to wonder whether he's looked at the "Man in the Mirror" lately ::)

Respect has to be earned.

Above all else, I view Michael Jackson as a very sad human being.

I can't deny that he is talented, because I think even those who hate his music would have to agree with that, but what I find so sad is that such talent went to waste.

I can't look at Michael Jackson and feel anger towards him, nor can I feel respect, the strongest thing I feel for him is pity.  Something horribly wrong must have happened to him to make him the way he is today, and I think there is something seriously wrong with his mind.  Without a word of a lie, or a taunt, I think he is crazy, I think he needs help, and I think his children (form what I have seen) are not safe in his care.

One of the truly sad stories in the music industry though.  I am not condoning what he has (or hasn't done), all I am sayig is that he is just a very, very sad case.

Michael Jackson is a pitiable human being. He has everything and nothing at the same time. Ultimately, however, he is perhaps the most obvious and tragic victim of the entertainment industry's "superstar factory" since Elvis.

I think the guy should lay low for about 10 years.  Just wait till everyone kinda forgets what a nutball you are.  There's no point in Jackson staying in the spotlight and trying to get his glory days of the 80s back now.  That is over for him and he needs to accept that.  Even during the first half of the 90s he still had some star power and wasn't written off as a complete Bellvue case, but for the past 5 or 6 years now he has been looked at like that, and even worse.....as a child molestor.

How old is Michael Jackson now?  About 44?  He could lay low for 10 years and just stay out of the media spotlight and then come back in 2013 at the age of 54 and probably have some decent hits with a then aging Young Baby Boomer/Older Gen X fanbase.  He'll never get the youth culture behind him again.  Ever.  There's a generation of kids out there born after say like 1983 or whatever that has only known Michael Jackson as being a media freak show and nothing else.

He probably feels that he is a normal parent and he thinks that nothing is wrong with him. To behave the way he does, he has himself justified left and right.

I think as an artist, he is brilliant and i respect his work. However he's gotten to a point where if he produces anything...he thinks that people will run out and buy it. And when an artist gets that way, they deserve a good ass kicking. In my humble opinion  :P ..(as a writer myself).  :)

The man practically stole Paul McCartney's songs right from under him.
The man ignored every racial issue of his life but was oh so willing to accuse Tommy Mottola of racism when his album sales weren't doing so well.
The man is an inspiration to Justin, Britney, and every other basically horses**t TRL artist that ever existed.
The man convinced Sly Stone to give up the rights to his songs, while Sly was living in an insane asylum.
The man hung his own kid out a window.

He's a reprehensible human being, no two ways about it.
