I saw these things advertised a long time ago. They were basically foam rubber bricks used just for the purpose of throwing them at the t.v. screen.

I used to throw slippers, sandals, shoes, aluminum cans, old toilet paper rolls...anything I could grab...at the TV.

I do this for sporting events, award shows, bad movies...just about anything.  Helps with my rage ;)

When the KU b-ball game is on at our house it is a battle zone. We throw wads of paper at the screen.  ;D

Edited to say we throw paper wads at those pesky ref's when they call something wrong.   >:( Which, when it comes to my family...anytime it is against KU it is wrong.  ;D

Race Bannon gave us this link in a PPP thread, and I suggest you guys check it out if you want to laugh. It is a hate commercials forum. I am reading some of these posts and laughing....a lot. Warning...not as clean where language is concerned as this site. Jared appears to be a very popular topic.  ;D ;D ;D

I have to say a theme that I'm seeing to often in different commercials is licking :P
Two that easily come to mind is the potential volkswagon owner who licks the doorhandle  and that yucky yogurt one where the show person after person licking the lids.
It grosses me out. :(

i thought the volkswagen one was funny.  but the yogurt commercial makes me think...if you're supposed to send those back the the company to help a breast cancer fun...who would want to go through all those lids after they've probably been licked?  :-X

Your right, the Volkswagon one is more tolerable cause the guy is a good, but the other one makes me squeamish.

I think the volkswagen commercial is funny.  The yogurt commercial I can not even watch without getting sick to my stomach.  I literally have to turn off the television whenever it comes on.  Who came up with that idea???  Yuck!

I have to say the commercials that bug me most are the glad commercials. The ones with Ms. I sucked a helium balloon voice and Don Rickles...etc. I wonder if that is her real voice?

The pull ups commercials. I don't think they have changed their jingle in a very long time, so I have it memorized, and I didn't like it that much when it was new. "I'm a big kid look what I can do? I can wear big kid pants, too!" Arghh, please. My brother sings the last line "I can make big piles of poo." I guess it is very parody-able. ;D

Your right, that woman's vouce cuts rigth into the brain, and the annoying people she has with her only make the pain that much more unbearable. :(

Ok...only Utah posters (or those that have had the misfortune to encounter these clowns while in Utah) would understand the level of annoyingness in these commercials.

Two local computer guys, Super-Del and his buddy Dan the Laptop Man advertise for their computer stores (Super Del also does adverts for his gun store).  They are the most annoying people in this state.  If I needed a new computer I would buy one from Super Del because he sells good computers, but if he was in the store I would walk back out.

our local commercials are so bad, they're hilarious.  there's one right now for the cable company's channel about their special edition news show where the viewers called in and voted for their favorite segments.  i've seen it already and number one, the most memorable thing was...

britney spears visits eastern pennsylvania!

i worry about the future of my town.  :D

Those Sam Adams Light commercials really bug me.  I don't drink lite beers because they taste like water, but I do like Sam Adams.  However, the overexuberant screaming does not sell it for me.

I love one of our local car dealership's commericals because I know the manager who does the commericals. Every time I see his smiling face, I say hello to him (I'm sure he can hear me through the t.v. set  ;) )

And speaking of local car dealership commercials, I'm glad I don't have to see any more of that "Blossom Blossom Shake" (parody of Georgia Sattelites Hippy Hippy Shake) ads for our local Chevrolet dealer. But I cringe every time I see the ad for the Honda West dealership, where the full-of-themselves Slim Shadys lip sync the jingle, then the one annoying huckster goes "38th and Georgetown Road!" (the business' address). Guess where I won't be at.

Car Commercials: I think Toyota has the worst car commercials with the sales event things. "Get The Feeling" with a car like the Avalon. Yeah right I am going to get the feeling with a big car like the Avalon. Toyota did an alright job with the Celica commercials a few years ago when the Celica was new for the 2000 model year. The last good Toyota commercials were in the 80's when they had that theme song to their commercials: "I love everyday people". The Dodge Neon commercial a few years with the person rolling around in the car was the stupidest commercial I have ever seen. I thought it was some kind of a joke and not even a commercial.

Those "Progressive" Insurance commercials are a scam!

I went on-line shopping for car insurance and attempted to use their system. They are expensive and find other expensive insurance companies for their comparisons. I found they outright lied about a couple of their quotes!

I was able to find many other car insurance rates that were much better priced and from respectable companies when I looked elsewhere.

I really hate the Gieco commercials especially when they ruin a wonderful song like "Sometimes when we touch." I wish that dog from the Taco Bell commercials would eat that stupid gecko!
