Strange and sad.  According to the news story the Orioles' team doctor thinks he died of "multi-organ failure due to heatstroke."  
Two years ago the Minnesota Vikings Corey Stringer died in training camp after suffering heat stroke.  Are athletes taking something that makes them especially susceptible to this condition?

It was so sad when I read it. I may be wrong but it seems that there seems to be something unfortunate happening during the last few spring trainings. That thought had crossed mind not to long ago.  :'(

Now, the ephedria stories are pouring in. It's unfortunate that somebody has to play with his life for an extra centimeter of muscle mass. To the young people, it's not worth it! :'(
