according to CNN, they have started the air rade sirens in Baghdad.
At 9:50pm (EST) the war officially began with Cruise(sp?) missiles fired into Baghdad at "targets of opportunity"

Get real. Oh- and grow up. The "Evil troops" you are referring to are our brave men and women here in the USA, our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters.

Your scenario makes no sense. Dubya would WANT the UN safety inspectors to find the Weapons of Mass Destruction, so that he could go in with the UN backing the US was trying to get, right?

No Kenny, what Mr Bush wanted was to go to war. He has no idea, I think, what weopons Iraq has, nor does he care. I think there are three levels to this.
First, the personal - Daddy didn't do it, Daddy lost the election. I will vindicate Daddy.
Second, Iraq has LOTS of oil. Boy, if our oil Co.s could control them we could weaken OPEC and assure our oil supplies for a long time.
Third, we are the world's only supper power, This is a great place to demonstrate what we can do and our will to do it, that is, to be the new imperium. The new world order is not to be the Pax Americana but the Guerre Americana. Count on our young people to be "deployed" in many other places in the not to distant future.
