Subject: Linkin Park - Meteora

Written By: Junior on 03/23/03 at 11:11 a.m.

Anyone else here a fan of Linkin Park?

I gave in to the temptation and downloaded "Meteora" off the net. It's awesome, they tried some new stuff with the songs "Faint" (with some violin - I think) and "Nobody's Listening" (oriental flute - very hip-hop-ish, Mike is most of the song), Chester has his own solo track "Breaking The Habit" which is awesome, and then their's Mr Hahn's track "Session".

Anyone who listens to both rock and hip-hop will love this album. I'm sure Jessica's looking forward to the album too. ;) :D

Oh definitely! :D I only wish that I had the money to go see them in San Francisco tonight.

I couldn't find the whole album to download, I just found "Somewhere I Belong." :-/

By the way, I like your avatar Junior. ;D

Not true!   :D

No offense to Linkin Park fans, but to me they sound like Beavis and Butthead with a band.

I listened to half the album at Tower. They went from mildly-whiny-annoying to eardrum-puncturing-annoying :P I bought a Human League CD instead 8)

Woohoo! I got the Limited Edition CD today, my dad bought it for me since I was in school. :D

My favorite tracks are Breaking The Habit, Faint, Nobody's Listening, and Hit The Floor.

IMO, From The Inside and Easier To Run aren't the best, but they're still okay.

Session isn't bad! I expected it to be like Cure From The Itch, which I didn't really like, but it's actually pretty good!

I think Linkin Park is one of the most intelligent hybrid bands out there.  I read recently that they wanted to take a little bit of the hybrid hip-hop out and funnel more towards straight rock and I think they did that in a very subtle way with Meteora.  Nice progression from Hybrid Theory.

I bought the limited edition (enhanced cd with a bonus dvd). My absolute favorite song off of there is "Easier To Run", with "Numb" a close second.
