Metallica will be hosting the first show of the new Headbangers ball! this just off the Metallica website! :o
METALLICA BRINGS IN THE | 04/28/2003
The boys will be hosting the debut of MTV2's new "Headbanger's Ball." The show will be taped at H.Q. this week (we'll have exclusive photos for you) and will air on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 PM.
Hope its as good as the original, humm wonder what band vids will be shown? any guesses? ;D

Finally, something not about hip hop is on MTV 2.
Well, I also like old school hip hop/R&B, but not a lot of it 24/7.
More likely a blend of classic rock/metal videos & current videos would play. (Like other video hours)
Unfortunately, MTV2 is on digital cable/satellite. :-/
But I have taped many videos from VH1's now defunct "Rock Show". :D
Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, Metallica, etc.
BTW, VH1 Classic has an all metal hour in their rotation.

Knowing MTV they are probably going to show lame bands like Linkin Park and call them metal. I would now like to quote Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys...."MTV get off the air!"
