Subject: Who funds these studies??

Written By: Rice Cube on 05/09/03 at 02:09 p.m.

I swear this is like the third or fourth "study" I've come across in the news this week that has me baffled as to what kind of money-burning idiot would fund them :P

::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Yeah, studying the connection between monkeys and computers is so much more important than funding for poorer countries and helping the homeless get off our streets... ::)

No. We (humans and apes - NOT monkeys) descended from a common ancestor. We are "genetic cousins." Neither of us descended from the other.

...and that explains why our "feces-flinging" gene is largely dormant ;)

Well, at least it goes dormant after like age 1-2....  But until that time, we're babbling monkeys anyway...

Hey!  That's what I was going to say too...that apes and humans share a common ancestor,  much like the camel and llama share a common ancestor.

Ya beat me to it TB!

To be fair, I don't think this study cost all that much. The only expense was probably the cost of the one computer they were using, and even that was probably one of the cheaper, more primitive PC's that are on the market.

Anyway, I don't think this "study" was meant to be taken as serious science. More of a joke than anything else. The article even said it was "a project intended more as performance art than scientific experiment."
