I grew up watching Brinkley, John Chancellor and Walter Cronkite at 6:30 when I was a kid, and now two of them are gone. R.I.P. Mr. Brinkley. :'(

When I was a child, Huntley and Brinkley were the news. That was in the days when the national networks tried to get the news right instead of trying to get it first, and to h3ll with whether or not it's accurate. David Brinkley was a true class act in his field. He will be missed.

I also grew up watching him... it was a nightly ritual with my dad when I was a kid.
