That is freaking hilarious.  I guess Metallica could be scary to those not exposed before.   Or, even worse, Metallica sung by Pat Boone :o

It would be funnier if the Iraqis would just kinda look at one another, move a little bit to the beat, start smiling at each other, and then start banging their heads...

I wasn't exposed to Metallica before I heard 'Enter Sandman'. That's a very good song - I can't see too many people worrying about listening to them.

I guess it's a case of 'Well they have a reputation, let's see if it works'.

Now if Iraqi's put on 'Madam Butterfly' by Malcolm Mclaren - I think they would find less resistance.  :)

I could've sworn there was a Metallica thread around here, somewhere... ???

Well, after hearing the new album trashed, I just had to go get a sample ... I'm absolutely stunned to find out how anti-listener Metallica is. They're really pissed about Napster, aren't they?

Of course, that might be their final testament. The album will sell well because it's a Metallica album, of sorts. But if it's as bad as people say ....

What if Metallica's giving the finger to their fans for ripping them to mp3? "Here, rip this. It sucks, and you just made it number one! Ha-ha-ha-ha!"

  Now that I could appreciate.

  Oh yeah...the torture thing....uh, funny, yeah... :P

OK, I finally heard one of the songs off of this album tonight, and I must say, it SUCKS!!!!  It sounded for one thing like I was listening to it on an old FM radio in my yard growing up.  Drms sounded like crap, and Hetfield was awful.

I literally couldn't stand to listen to it.

If that song is representative of the album, I won't even bother DOWNLOADING that crap.
