I heard "I'm With You" by Avril Lavigne on the radio tonight... a live version. Let's just say I'm never going to listen to her sing live again if I can help it.

yeah...i found out she had covered green day's "basket case" at a concert, so i downloaded it...wow. it was pretty scary. apparently her live cover of "chop suey!" was even worse...

Ive heard her Chop suey live cover...Keith sent it to me like around December...I couldnt stop laughing...it was SOOOOOO bad!....she was screaming into the mircophone.....now, I dont care for the original either, but I would rather listen to SOAD's version than hers anyday

I think her "Chop Suey!" cover was supposed to be a joke (the original was practically a novelty song anyway).
The only time I've heard her live was at the Grammys and she was extremely off-key; however, this could easily be because of award show time constraints, which usually don't let people get in their sound checks. From what I hear, though, she is usually awful in concert.

ive actullyheard/seenher live quite a few times on TV...SNL, the grammys...some show on MTV2.....she sucks....

Avril sucks live. My daughter thought she was so bad, she's stopped listening to her altogether.

In February this year, I watched the Brit Awards. Avril was on there performing Sk8er Boi and she had 20 odd drummers!

"Advil Latrine". Ever heard her speak? I have never EVER heard a person trying so-o-o-o-o hard to be tough and anti-establishment, and being so undeniably phony. My skin crawls with embarrassment. And she always looks as though she's passing a kidney stone. I guess that's her "bad-attitude" face. Bleeech. :P

She is a slightly less lame version of Debbie Gibson.
Her studio music -- is decent. But avoid the live gigs.
She didn't know who David Bowie was when she mis-read his name at an awards show. She called him David Bow-ie.
As in take a bow? Not bow like tying a bow knot.
Unreal. Her 15 minutes of fame are up.
Kids will look back and cringe that they ever listened to her lame ass stuff. We will see her on VH-1's Where Are They Now?

I agree with you here.
I thought her studio stuff was bad, but it sounds actually pretty good compared to when I heard her sing live. But I still can't stand her. As for Where Are They Now?, I definitely count on seeing her on that show soon (with Justin Timberlake and Creed).

The interesting thing is that Europeans have always pronounced his name like that. However, she's Canadian, so that's not an excuse.
