Subject: Sleevegun

Sleevegun.

A handgun is a gun that fits in your hand.

A sleevegun is a small gun that can be hidden up your sleeve and then slides out into your hand, the gun attached to a device that springs the gun from inside your sleeve to your palm.

This is the coolest gun.  I think it was done first in the TV series Wild Wild West.

Then they used it in Taxi Driver.  I thought for years Taxi Driver was the first film to use this device, come up with it.  But nope.  Wild Wild West.

And they used it in the movie Ford Fairlane too.

And a number of others like Desperado.  And in some Frank Miller Sin City comics.

They should use the sleevegun as a weapon in a video game first person shooter.  I'd write a game mod with this weapon if I was more of a gaming expert!

Kinda like they do player modifications that you can download on the internet.

Like for games like Half-Life.  That include a program for letting gamers construct levels.  Dig?

I'm pretty sure my mates where involved in making a mod for some HL style shoot-'em-up where they had new guns for it.  But i was never really that interested so it my have just been new skins for old guns.

That's cool.  But not as cool as the crotch-gun from the original "From Dusk Till Dawn" movie ;D  That had me rolling.

Actually, Mavarick always carried a sleave gun, also known as a derringer, in that TV series - don't remember the dates, but it was B/W.

The derringer was (is) a  real gun that came in a number of styles.  The first were single shot, usually .22.  There was one called a "pepper box" that fires 6 shots at once.  Another was a 2 barrel, 2 trigger (offset) model.  Gamblers' guns, for when that 5th ace shows up  ;)

Maverick came out before Wild Wild West.

So I guess the Maverick writers came up with the sleevegun first!

I wanna see some DVD's of the Maverick series.  With Roger Moore in the later episodes.

I bet it's a cool show too!

I like the old Dragnet TV show as well!
