The flying cars i read about in New Scientist seem pretty cool.  I think they'll be available in the next 10/20 years.  Although, i can't afford a normal car so i dunno why these ones interest me so much.

8) 8)I like the flat plasma Tvs.They actually have them now,but I'd like to see them in a few years, when both the technology and price are improved.Cheers!

Add to that, they will have the better HDTV signal transmission. Not only will the TV's be better, but so will the resolution of what is sent.

I know what I want in the future. I want every store to be open 24 hours a day. Man what I would give to be able to go to Borders Bookstore at 3am, and in my pajammas too.  ;D

Most stores, especially small ones, can't do the 24 hrs thing simply because its not cost-effective to pay employees, electric bill, etc. in the wee hours of the night when only a handful of shoppers come in.

I remember when they were predicting the debut of flying cars back in the mid/late 80s.  It hasn't happened yet, I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

But, regarding TV's, I saw a really interesting show about the future of TV and it showed a concept model of a Holographic Television.  These things make Plasma HDTV's look old fashioned!

Basically, its what the name suggests, a Holographic TV image appearing in the air, with no screens or anything.  Of course it was just a concept model, and probably won't be around for a long time.

Actually, they've been predicting it (and trying to actualise it) since about the 1940s, but they have working models no; they just can't reach top speeds or anything currently and the affordability isn't too good at present.  If i find the article i'll give you a bit more info.
